Dr. Tritsch is an Assistant Professor in the Neuroscience Institute at the NYU Langone Health, where he studies the functional organization of neural circuits that orchestrate voluntary motor actions. He obtained his B.S. in immunology and M.S. in neuroscience from McGill University before earning his Ph.D. in neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University under the mentorship of Dr. Dwight Bergles. He recently completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the laboratory of Dr. Bernardo Sabatini at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Tritsch is the recipient of several awards, including the National Institutes of Health Pathway to Independence Award, the Society for Neuroscience Peter and Patricia Gruber International Research Award and the Alfred P. Sloan Research fellowship in Neuroscience. As a Leon Levy Fellow, he aims to identify the synaptic mechanisms that enable the nervous system to promote the execution of movements expected to bring about desired outcomes.
